Party politics

In an article about Southern Christians’ support for Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, Pennsylvania’s Patriot News quoted Charles Bullock, professor of political science in the School of Public and International Affairs.

“The question is, can [Newt Gingrich] spend enough time in any of those [coming Southern primary] states to become the favorite of the evangelicals and/or the tea party voters?” said Bullock. “That’s essentially what he’s fighting for with Santorum, and in most states, Santorum has done better with that segment than Newt.”
