Panel talks terror

A panel including Corrie Brown, Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor and veterinary pathology professor (above, left), addressed a U.S. House subcommittee in August on the susceptibility of the nation’s farmland and food supply to terrorist attacks. The meeting, held at UGA and featuring top Georgia agricultural experts, covered topics such as zoonotic diseases, which can be spread from animals to humans, and the preparedness of government agencies. The hearing airs 4 p.m. Sept. 10 on University Channel 15.
