Pamela Paisley, a professor in the department of counseling and human development services, received the 2009 Reese House Social Justice Advocate of the Year Award from the Counselors for Social Justice, part of the American Counseling Association. She was honored for her dedication to social justice advocacy among K-12 students and in the field of school counseling.
She also was named an American Counseling Association Fellow for 2009, which is given in recognition of significant contributions in professional practice, scientific achievement and governance, or teaching and training. She received both honors at the association’s national conference last month in Charlotte, N.C.
