New Dialogues in Diversity lunchtime series offered

The first installment of the Office of Institutional Diversity’s lunchtime lecture series “Dialogues in Diversity” will be held April 13 from noon-
1:30 p.m. in the Tate Student Center.

Corey Johnson, associate professor of counseling and human development services and a Fulfilling the Dream Award recipient, will moderate the first discussion. Johnson’s work and research explores bullying and the inequality experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth in schools across Georgia.

The series is an opportunity for faculty and staff to discuss, share and make recommendations for enhancing diversity and inclusion across UGA’s campuses. Each event will focus on a different area of diversity and begin with remarks provided by an expert in that area. This will be followed by informal table discussions. Lunch is provided; and prior registration is required.

For more information or to register, visit diversity.uga.edu. The event is free, and spaces will be filled on a first-come basis.
