EITS will begin migrating all existing Oracle calendar user data and resources to the new UGAMail’s integrated calendar solution on Dec. 17. This migration will allow all UGA students, faculty and staff members to take full advantage of the increased functionality and accessibility offered by the new system. This will include out-of-the-box mobile device integration for devices like the iPhone, Droid and Windows Mobile, integration with the UGAMail interface, integration with Outlook/Entourage calendars and other new features that will improve the way the university collaborates. Plans call for the data migration to be completed by Dec. 20.
EITS will conduct a series of hands-on training classes at Training and Development on the use of the new system over the next two months. A schedule of classes is online at https://busfin1.busfin.uga.edu/human_resources/courses/fulldesc.cfm?.
