Native American mini-conference

The Institute of Native American Studies presents the one-day mini-conference, “Revised Lives: Early Transformations of Southeastern Indians,” from 2:30-4 p.m., Feb. 3, in room 101 of the Student Learning Center.

The conference will examine the changes that European contact made on the lives of the indigenous peoples of what is today the southeastern U.S. 

Featured speakers include UGA alumni Robbie Ethridge (University of Mississippi), John Worth (Florida Museum of Natural History), plus UGA faculty Charles Hudson, David Hally, Claudio Saunt and Stephen Kowalewski.

The conference is free and open to the public.
