Maureen Grasso, dean of the Graduate School, has been installed as vice president of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
As one of four vice presidents, Grasso is a member of the board of directors and serves as vice chair of the Publishing and Education Council. In 2005, she received the Distinguished Service Award from the international organization. She also serves on the board of governors for the Atlanta chapter of ASHRAE and was instrumental in starting a new student branch at UGA.
