Little bird, big memory

The ScienceNOW Daily News reports on a new study led by University of Edinburgh biologists which shows that the hummingbirds have a remarkable capability for keeping track of their daily activities. The article quotes UGA psychologist Jonathon Crystal. “This is the first really strong evidence for timing intervals in a natural setting,” he says, adding that the studies could prove that humans are not the only creatures who have a memory for unique personal experiences.
