UGA-For-Sale, the university’s listserv for faculty and staff looking to buy and sell personally owned items, ended operations Sept. 16.
The list had almost 2,000 subscribers and as many as 50 posts on some days, but was shut down when a volunteer to monitor the list could not be found.
The list was founded by Staff Council but has been administered by volunteers since 2008.
A UGA-For-Sale Yahoo group has been set up online at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/uga-for-sale/. To subscribe to it, send an email to uga-for-sale-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
