Keeping up with the Jonestowns

An article in the Nashville, Tenn.-based Tennessean about the city’s economic state as compared to its peers quoted Jeff Humphreys, director of the UGA’s Selig Center for Economic Growth. 

“That’s the view from the 30,000-foot level, because we don’t know where the cuts are going to come from,” he said. “Atlanta has a very low dependence on federal spending and government employment in general. The next
bubble. . . probably won’t hurt Atlanta (as) much.”
