Arthrex Inc., awarded $21,175 to Kathy Simpson, an associate professor of kinesiology in the College of Education and codirector of the Biomechanics Laboratory, to determine leg strength/power and the ability of individuals to climb steps five years after a partial knee replacement. The study will shed light on the long-term effects of a partial knee replacement, which are not well known. The project is a collaboration with Athens Orthopedic Clinic.
