Judith L. Meyer,  delivered the 17th annual Abel Wolman Distinguished Lecture

Judith L. Meyer, Distinguished Research Professor emerita in the Odum School of Ecology, delivered the 17th annual Abel Wolman Distinguished Lecture of the Water Science and Technology Board. The lecture, “Flowing Water, In and For Cities,” took place April 14 at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C.

Meyer is an internationally recognized aquatic ecologist with a particular interest in urban rivers and streams and the role of headwater streams and riparian zones in river networks. The WTSB is part of the National Research Council’s Division on Earth and Life Studies. The WTSB covers studies relating to the science, engineering, economics, policy and social aspects of water resources.
