Jack Bauerle, head coach of UGA’s swimming team, was honored by the American Swimming Coaches Association in September in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for his work with the Olympics.
Bauerle guided the U.S. women’s team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Under his direction, Team USA won 14 medals (two gold medals, seven silver medals and five bronze medals)-the most of any country in the Beijing Games.
