Graduate student competition

UGA will select a graduate student for an award to attend the 10-week experience at Singularity University, an “ideas incubator” located in Silicon Valley, this summer.

The competition is sponsored by the Provost’s Office, the Graduate School and the Office of the Vice President for Research. Travel awards of $500 will go to second and third place runners-up.

Graduate students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. The submission deadline is March 21. Interviews with the finalists will be held April 10 from 1-4 p.m. Complete eligibility requirements, application information and submission instructions are online (http://grad.uga.edu/singularity/index.html).

Information sessions hosted by UGA winners of the past two years will be held Feb. 27 from 5-6 p.m. in Room 451 of the Chemistry Building, March 6 from 5-6 p.m. in Room 207 of the Miller Learning Center and March 12 from 5-6 p.m. in Room B121 of Life Sciences.
