Georgia Science and engineering fair judges

The Office of Academic Special Programs is seeking judges for the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair from March 29-31 at the Classic Center. Specifically, judges are needed March 30 for the fair finals.

The fair provides junior high and high school students from across the state with an opportunity to learn about problem-solving in the biological and physical sciences.

It also gives them the initial opportunity to exhibit research projects. The students will compete for thousands of dollars in awards and prizes.

Approximately 170 judges are needed, including at least 10 each in chemistry, cellular biology, bioengineering, physics and environmental sciences.

The application form to become a judge can be found online at www.georgiacenter.uga.edu/sites/default/files/gsef-2012-judge-volunteer-form.pdf.
