Five professors named to inaugural list of Fellows of the Ecological Society of America

Alan P. Covich, a professor in the Odum School of Ecology, Judith L. Meyer, professor emerita from the Odum School, James W. Porter, Meigs Professor of Ecology, Ronald ­Pulliam, Regents Professor emeritus in the Odum School, and Rebecca R. Sharitz, professor emerita from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, were all named to the inaugural list of Fellows of the Ecological Society of America.

The program recently was established to recognize ESA members who have made significant contributions to ecological science in academics, government service, nonprofit organizations or other avenues. Appointment is for life.
