Thanks to donations from more than 2,000 current and former UGA employees, the 2011 Faculty and Staff Campaign accumulated more than $2 million to support the university’s mission.

For employees like Tina Carpenter, an associate professor in the J.M. Tull School of Accounting in the Terry College of Business, giving back to UGA just feels right.

“This is a wonderful place to be for all of us, and I want it to be that way into the future,” she said. “UGA gives so much to the students, faculty and staff.”

Gifts to the Georgia Fund are one area that allows support to critical needs across campus. Georgia Fund gifts support every school, college and unit at UGA and fund vital efforts to produce more support through alumni and friends of the university.

Put another way, gifts to the Georgia Fund have the potential to affect everyone on campus, according to David Jones, senior director of development.

“Wherever faculty and staff give, at whatever size, they are joining in on making a difference at this university,” he said.
