David P. Landau, Distinguished Research Professor of physics and director of the Center for Simulational Physics, presented an invited lecture at the 2007 international conference on computational physics in Brussels, Belgium. Entitled “Critical Endpoint Behavior: A Wang-Landau Study,” Landau’s presentation focused on advances in understanding a phenomenon that was first identified more than 100 years ago. The meeting is the only international conference on computational physics sponsored annually by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics.
