Darnell Tate, manager of Oglethorpe Dining Commons, recently received the Patriot Award from the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The Patriot Award is presented to employers who practice leadership and personnel policies that support employee participation in the National Guard and National Reserve. Tate was nominated by Theodis Hammock who works as a cook at Oglethorpe Dining Commons and currently serves in the Army National Guard.
The Patriot Award was presented to Tate by at Oglethorpe Dining Commons. Since Tate has received this award, he may now be considered for other awards and recognition with the ESGR.
