Connie Crawley, a senior public service associate and extension nutrition and health specialist, received $15,000 in continuing support for the Cooking for a Lifetime Cancer Cooking Schools.

Working in partnership with the American Cancer Society and the Georgia Department of Health, Extension agents from the College of Family and Consumer Sciences present cooking lessons combined with cancer prevention messages for women across the state. Attendees learn how to reduce their risk for cancer through healthy food selection and preparation, and they learn about the importance of regular mammograms and Pap tests.
