Connecticut system looks to merge 12 community colleges into one system

The president of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities System is recommending the state consolidate 12 community colleges into a centrally managed organization to cut costs, according to a recent article in Inside Higher Ed.

The president believes the state can save more than $40 million every year by merging the colleges and consolidating administrative and personnel positions throughout the system.
