Computer health, security fair

The 2012 Computer Health and Security Fair will be held April 11 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the second floor lobby of the Miller Learning Center.

The fair will feature security checkups for faculty, staff and student laptop computers. The security checkup includes virus scans, software updates, spyware removal and more.

Enterprise Information Technology Services consultants and technicians will be on site to provide information about the dangers of phishing attacks and advice on how to protect against identity theft. Requests will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.

The fair is intended to assist individuals with personally owned computers. Consult departmental IT professionals before bringing a work computer to the fair.
