The University Health Center will offer UGA faculty, staff, retirees and their spouse or domestic partner a cholesterol screening (blood lipid profile) on Feb. 11-14 and 18-21 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. No appointment is necessary. The lipid profile will give a total cholesterol level, along with the HDL/LDL breakdown (the “good” and “bad” cholesterol) and triglycerides.
The cost is $10, and participants should not eat anything after midnight the night before the test. Also drink plenty of water to be fully hydrated at the time blood is drawn.
