Members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center visit the Performing Arts Center to perform French Virtuosity.

The UGA Performing Arts Center will present the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center March 21 at 8 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall. The program, French Virtuosity, will include works by Claude Debussy, Jean-Marie Leclair, Maurice Ravel, Jean Francaix and Ernest Chausson.

The Performing Arts Center is partnering with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center to present an entire season of concerts on the Franklin College Chamber Music Series. Members of CMSLC are visiting Athens six times during the 2016-2017 season, establishing the greatest presence in one location for the Chamber Music Society outside of New York City.

CMSLC is the nation’s premier repertory company for chamber music with a rotating roster of outstanding instrumentalists. For the French Virtuosity program, Chamber Music Society Co-Artistic Director Wu Han (piano) will be joined by violinists Kristen Lee, Yura Lee and Arnaud Sussmann; violist Richard O’Neill; and cellist Nicholas Canellakis.

Tickets for the concert are $42 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center, online at pac.uga.edu or by calling the box office at 706-542-4400. UGA students can purchase tickets for $6 with a valid UGA ID, limit one ticket per student.

The concert will be recorded for broadcast on American Public Media’s Performance Today, heard by 1.4 million listeners across the country. Patrick Castillo from CMSLC will give a pre-concert lecture at 7:15 p.m. in Ramsey Concert Hall.
