Brian Boe is associate secretary for Southeastern section of American Mathematical Society

Brian Boe, a professor in the mathematics department, part of the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, has begun a three-year term as associate secretary for the Southeastern section of the American Mathematical Society. The organization works to promote mathematical research, support mathematical education and increase the appreciation of mathematics and its connections to everyday life. Boe now will help coordinate the biannual-one in the spring and one in the fall-AMS meetings for the Southeastern region.
