Alfredo Martinez-Espinoza, an associate professor of plant pathology, has been awarded the Spaniard National Association of Greenkeepers’ Honorific Award for his continuous support and advancement of the association.
He was the invited speaker at the association’s annual congress in Bilbao, Spain. The congress was attended by more than 250 turfgrass scientists, golf course superintendents, sod producers and sports field managers from the Spanish provinces and the Canary Islands.
