Anne Sweaney, invited to Nationial housing symposium

Anne Sweaney, head of the housing and consumer economics department in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, was invited to join representatives of three other universities as part of a “National Call to Action for Affordable Housing through Regulatory Reform” symposium, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The symposium took place Oct. 17 at HUD headquarters in Washington, D.C. The symposium brought together local, state and federal government representatives, as well as national housing industry advocates and academicians to discuss the impact of regulatory barriers on the development of affordable workforce housing and solutions to those barriers.
